We
do not invent new products at IDEI rather, we look
for products that meet existing needs of marginal
farmers, and seek to adapt them, reduce their cost
and enhance their utility. Different models of the
treadle pump and Drip Irrigation kits (commonly known
as ADITI kits) that are currently promoted have all
evolved as a result of such a sustained and systematic
process.
At present we are conducting research on two products
that have the potential for large-scale dissemination
among small and marginal farm families: Pressure Pump
and Micro Diesel.
