About Water Application
IDEI’s water application technologies are significantly low in cost, available in small packages, operate at very low pressure and are easy to operate. Since it does not require high initial cost it removes entry barrier for small farmers to adopt drip irrigation. A farmer can irrigate more crop area per unit of water used as it requires 60-70 percent less water when compared with traditional surface irrigation system. The slow and regular application of water maintains optimum moisture at the root zone which improves plant quality and yield increases by 30-50%.
